The Spooky Civic AI Hackathon is a free weekend where NYC builders make AI that helps their neighbors, with real nonprofit partners and real problems. It's run by 3percentclub, an associate member of the Linux Foundation's Agentic AI Foundation (AAIF).

The weekend

Three days, one room full of builders

Teams of 3 to 5 build in person or online. Judges pre-score every submission, the top teams show their work at a science fair, and the final 5 demo on stage. Demo Day is a drop-in event, so your team can bring guests.

Builders tech usually leaves out of the room

Our community is mostly women, people of color, and career changers: engineers, product managers, designers, and people writing their first lines of code. Sponsoring puts your tool in their first real projects, the ones they keep building on.
